Joi Dreams is the owner and stylist of Joi Dreams Salon. She has worked as a stylist for over 30 years. She is a native New Yorker, but has also lived and styled hair in Alaska. Joi has now lived and worked in Virginia for over 23 years and has worked as a stylist in several Old Town Alexandria salons before opening her own salon in 2009.

In 2017, Joi Dreams expanded her salon to offer spa services. Joi specializes in all textures of hair and is also highly skilled in color application, various cutting techniques, and is also a barber. Her scissor cutting is customized to each individual client, ranging from adults to children. Listening to her client’s lifestyle and goals for their hair before cutting is important to Joi. She ensures her clients are happy and leaves with a style they can maintain at home. Joi loves what she does and has fun doing it.

Joi also owns Ward Avenue Style Parlor, a chic consignment online store that focuses on being as sustainable as possible.
